WHAT IS THE HERODSTRONG CAMPAIGN?

It is our very first underwriting campaign to raise funds that will go directly back into the classroom to help our teachers and students. Contributions will provide the unrestricted funds that make up the majority of this year’s PTO budget. This year’s campaign will run from March 22^nd to April 2^nd, 2021.

OKAY, BUT WHY DO WE DO THIS?

The funding and support provided by the district does not equal the Herod you know and love. In fact, that gap is often larger than anyone thinks because we are so accustomed to PTO dollars essentially bridging it. We think it is important to educate our families on how important these supplemental funds are to our kids’ everyday experience at Herod.

WHAT DO TEACHERS RECEIVE?

This year for every $10 donated to the campaign your teacher will be entered into our gift card raffle. See below for our generous teacher raffle donors!

WOW, I DIDN’T REALIZE, SO WHAT’S THE RIGHT AMOUT TO GIVE?

There is no right answer to that. We want each family’s donations to be meaningful to them personally, so contribution amounts will vary from family to family. We hope that you will have a conversation in your household about what’s right for you.

DO I HAVE TO MAKE MY DONATION ONLINE?

Because of our current virtual situation, we are encouraging easy online giving through our PTO Store. However, if you need to contribute via check or cash, we can accommodate you – simply send us a message at president@herodpto.org and we will arrange it.

IS MY DONATION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes.

MY COMPANY SAYS THEY “MATCH GIFTS” – DOES THAT HELP?

Yes! We love matching gifts – even if you are not sure if your company matches, it never hurts to ask! Let us know if you need help navigating.

CAN MY EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS (GRANDPARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES, NEIGHORS) CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAMPAIGN?

They sure can. Any gift labeled with your child(ren)’s name(s) will be credited to her/him and will count towards their classroom.

WE WILL HAVE A SMALL ONLINE AUCTION!

This will start on March 22^nd and end on March 28^th at 8pm. Some of our favorite items like parking spots, college flag, and principal for the day will be auctioned off. Click on the link.
