Wanted: Kid Friendly Magazines!
We are seeking donations of child friendly magazines to use for a variety of projects.
Please drop off donations in the bin behind the front desk by October 26th or bring them to Literacy Night on October 25th!
McTeacher Night!!!
McTeacher Night is Thursday, October 18th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the McDonald’s on S. Braeswood and Hillcroft.
You don’t want to miss this! Our Herod teachers and staff will be working behind the counter and in the dining room serving your food to you!
Mr. Bancroft and Ms. Turek will be working the drive-thru windows!! Invite your friends and neighbors too! We have a great time at the annual McTeacher Night!!
Tip jars are available inside the dining room (along with Ms. Turek’s drive thru window!) for cash donations to our Herod staff! 15% of ALL FOOD SALES benefit Herod!

Spirit Night for October 4th CANCELLED
Dear Herod families,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Papa John’s spirit night for tomorrow Oct. 4th has been cancelled. We are so sorry for any inconvenience and look for your continued support at our next spirit night.
Herod Magnet Tours!
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to accompany interested parents on a tour of the school. You will be encouraged to speak to visiting parents about what brought you to Herod and why you continue to keep your child enrolled here at Herod. Additionally, you will be able to answer parent questions from a fellow parent’s perspective.

Middle School Options Night
Herod will be holding an informational session for current 4th and 5thgrade students and parents. Starting at 6:00 sharp, Mr. Paulus will be reviewing the magnet application process and updates. Mr. Paulus will also explain the magnet qualifying scores and how to use the magnet matrix calculator. Parent and student will also be able to go to the cafeteria to speak to representatives from several different middle school campuses. Don’t miss this invaluable opportunity to learn more about your middle school options!
