Friday, April 13th, 2018, is Herod’s Annual Field Day. It’s a day of fun and games in the sunshine for all Herod students. We will need many volunteers! preK-5 will play games from 8:30am to 11:30am and will receive snow cones at the conclusion of the games. The lunch break will be from 11:30am to 1:00pm. From 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm, the Herod teachers will compete against the 5th grade students to see who will claim victory in a game of kick ball, while the rest of the students will cheer from the sidelines!
Parent volunteers are needed to help with the following:
- • setting up the games from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.
- • helping the teachers move the kids through the games from 9-11:30
- • filling the water dispensers on the field, possibly including a run to the store for ice mid-morning
- • serving snow cones to the kids from 11:00-1:00
If you are able to help with your child’s class, please contact your room parent. If you are able to help with the morning set up, serving snow cones, or keeping the water dispensers full, please contact Natalie Johnston at nat.ioanna@gmail.com, or at (832) 279-6726 with the time you are able to help. This is a very fun day for the kids, and your help is greatly appreciated!
Please make sure your child wears sunscreen and a hat since the games will be played outside. Please have your child wear his/her class field trip t-shirt.
