We are getting excited for school to start soon!!!
Save the date for the following activities:
Meet the Teacher: August 21st at 5:30 pm for Kinder, 4th and 5th grades;
August 23rd at 5:30 pm for Pre-K, 1st 2nd and 3rd Grades!
Kindergarten Playdate: August 25th (More details coming in early August)

Yearbook pre-order sales are now available at https://www.herodpto.org/store/ or through the order form (English) (Spanish) with cash or check dropped off in the PTO room. Yearbooks are $25.
Yearbooks will not be ready before the end of school, but when they arrive we will have a few days where parents can pick up the books at school. Any not picked up during these days will be available at Jet Fest.
School Store Volunteers
Would you be willing to volunteer at the school store next school year? We need parent volunteers to work in the school store before school. You can pick the day that works best for you. More than one parent can volunteer. If you are interested and would like to know more, please email president@herodpto.org

PTO Board Positions are Open
Would you like to volunteer on the PTO Board? We have two board positions currently open.
If you’re interested in knowing more about this or any other volunteer opportunity, please come to our PTO meeting on Friday, May 18th at 8:30 am in the Teacher’s Lounge or email president@herodpto.org. There are many opportunities to get involved.
Please join us for our Spring PTO meeting this week! We will be voting on officers for next year, going over spending for this past school year and setting our summer budget.

Teacher’s Lounge
All students need to purchase school supplies on their own. Save yourself a trip to the store and order your supplies directly from the Herod PTO. All supplies ordered by the end of the school year will be delivered to your child’s classroom prior to the first day of school.
If you wish to purchase supplies on your own, please print a copy of the 2018-2019 Student Supplies list and purchase all those needed for your student’s grade level.

Herod’s teachers and staff will roll up their sleeves to help prepare and serve your favorite food from McDonald’s.
During this event, Herod will receive 15% of the sale proceeds.
Our bell times will be changing next school year due to the newly adopted district-wide school start times.
The school day will run from 7:30 am – 2:50 pm.
First bell – 7:20 am
Second bell – 7:25 am
Final bell – 7:30 am
